Creating my style. I integrate a mix of natural and added light on your wedding day. There are times when both are a better fit for the day. On bright sunny days using fill light helps fill in the shadows under your eyes, nose and chin. When we can use natural light I keep that glowing feel with natural light or sometimes fill in a little on the front to keep you from being silhouette against the horizon. I like to retain color in the sky when possible, keeping skies blue and greens green. During the reception I use minimal equipment to create light so you are in focus, action is freezed and we are still retaining the atmosphere of the party without blowing it out with complete flash. My reception style is stealth, while I do using lighting I use the smallest light with the biggest impact to keep the party from being distracted by large lights and umbrellas.
I love posing! We can talk about your posing preferences and if you are a couple that has no idea how to pose, I can help you head to toe! Giving as much or as little guidance as you are comfortable with, I will get you set up and let you take over to help you get into a flow of loving on each other but in a way that it doesn’t look awkward with your hands or arms.
Portraits don’t have to feel like you are staring at my camera saying cheese, I like to keep portraits fun and light and capture the natural connection between you and your partner. While candid photos are nice, I aim to do more of a guided candid approach to keep you in the best light and angle for your photos - giving you prompts that illicit natural emotions between the two of you.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
If you are ready to see what I can offer for your wedding day, let’s set up a call! This call will go over your day as you have planned it out so far. We will talk about things like where you are getting ready, how much getting ready coverage you would like, portrait preferences, first look decisions, timing of ceremony and reception, whether you want an engagement session or wedding album, etc. Once I hear more about your day I will put together 2-3 custom photography options that I believe would fit your day, preferences and budget.
To lock in the date all I need is a signed contract and $300 payment towards a package. Once those two items are in, the date is yours. Once you book the date you can wait to decide which package option you want to go with later but the numbers are locked in as of when you book and I will be your photographer, not a random photographer assigned to your most special day.

Best Wedding Photographer!
We hired Dana for our wedding in late October and could not be more happy! She was the epitome of professionalism from beginning to end.
She was the perfect balance of directing during the portrait sessions and being non obtrusive and getting candid shots (looking through our gallery there are pictures that I didn't even know she was there for). She helped to keep everything running on time and was amazing at corralling our families during those photos.
From the moment we saw the social media posts the next day we new knew all of the pictures were going to be amazing. Every single picture is amazing, we are just totally blown away. We received our highlights right before Thanksgiving and were able to show those off at family gatherings and everyone is just floored with how beautiful the pictures are. We weren't expecting the rest of our pictures until the New Year as it's getting close to the holidays, so it was a pleasant surprise to get an email from Dana about two weeks early with the rest of pictures.
We cannot recommend her services enough! We are already trying to think of an excuse to have pictures taken by her again; we will definitely be repeat customers!

Easy Choice
Dana was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From our first conversation over the phone I knew I wanted her to be my photographer for mine and my husband’s wedding day. She was clear and confident about her strengths in being a photographer and managing the complexity of large families, how she can get those pictures done quickly, and she definitely delivered on our wedding day. She was also very flexible with the weather for both our engagement session (which we had to change the date of, but it definitely worked out for the better), as well as on our wedding day. She and her team are kind, funny, encouraging, and exceptionally talented. Best decision I could have made!

Dana is the best!
My whole experience with Dana has been amazing. We had our engagement pictures done with her before our wedding, and also pictures day of our wedding. She is professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with. We had multiple emails and calls to check in through out the process to make sure I was getting all the shots I wanted. Day of my wedding she had everything laid out and made family photos a breeze, and during the reception I feel like she captured every moment without any of us even realizing she was there. I would hands down recommend her to anyone getting married and can’t wait to schedule family photos in the future with her.
